APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR 2018

Applications to exhibit with Brunswick Street Gallery in 2018 are now being accepted. Brunswick Street Gallery welcomes applications from established artists, emerging artists, and curators. Exhibitions may utilise single or multiple exhibition spaces within the gallery. 

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN APPLICATIONS

Brunswick Street Gallery encourages artists whose work demonstrates one or more of the following: 

- Art that demonstrates a high level of skill and marketability.

- Art that promotes critical debate about contemporary art and culture.

- Art that displays innovation and experimentation in presentation and content.

- Ambitious projects that challenge the boundaries of the creative arts.

$950 two weeks (2 weekends)

$1235 three weeks (3 weekends)

$1150 two weeks (2 weekends)

Video Projection Space

$60 admin fee per artist

 

INCLUDED IN EXHIBITION FEES

- Exhibition install assistant.

- Gallery invigilators.

- Exhibition opening event and bar service.

- A7 hardcopy invites and distribution, e-newsletter (14000+ subscribers) online listing and promotion through Facebook (11500+) and Instagram (8000+).

 

THE SMALL PRINT

- Brunswick Street Gallery takes a 25% commission on all artwork sales. This includes GST.

- While the greatest care is taken to ensure artwork safety, Brunswick Street Gallery takes no responsibility

for damage that may occur to artwork.

- We require artists, once their proposal has been accepted, to sign an artist agreement outlining artist and gallery's rights and responsibilities.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Your application needs to consist of the following:

- Up to 10 images (JPEG, clearly labelled, no single image larger than 500k).

- Artist statement/exhibition statement and description of artworks (no more than 1000 words).

- Your Curriculum Vitae (not applicable for first time artists).
