6 June - 19 June 2014

Described as “Brooding, dark & genuine”, my work attempts to engage & evoke. It is ultimately my intention to draw emotion from my photographic work. Conceptually, the imagery aims to combine formality and beauty juxtaposed against a visual style imbued with elements of degradation. The result is a reflection of both subject and environment resonating both perfection and imperfection.
The conceptualisation of the series “Drift” originated in exploring notions surrounding the passage of time. With the passing of time comes inevitable change.
The work within this series prompts us to question our own Impermanence. Do we recognize our continual state of evolution both physical and psychological?
Ultimately removing the metaphorical blindfold that we all wear allows us the clarity not just to look, but to see.
