We have passed through the television age, the box that fed panic and then soothed it through diversion; for the consumer, this was the passive phase.

Clickbait is a term for a modern day means of accessing gratuitous information.

These days, we find our jumpy fingers poised for that left click.

This work focuses upon the contemporary prevalence of brutal imagery, the means of its dissemination and the desensitising effect this has upon our collective instincts. It also attempts to highlight the lackadaisical reporting of bloodshed in the context of newsfeeds and snippets and the kneejerk reaction to it, so often tempered with racism and xenophobia.
