Archive > Exterior/Interior, Charlene King

The works in this exhibition are all connected to one central theme; the differences and surprising similarities between the urban environments of Australia around its edges (the exterior) and the hauntingly beautiful and desolate landscapes of Australia in its middle (the interior). Paintings of Sydney and Melbourne are juxtaposed with images of Kargoorlie, Uluru and Kata Tjuta, demonstrating the diversity of landscapes that are found here.

All of Charlene King's paintings are made with a light underdrawing followed by watercolour washes and then details drawn in with pen at the very end.

Exhibition runs from 6pm, 15 April - 3pm, 28 April 2016
