Archive > judgement Day, Georgie Johnson

My practice is centred around the spontaneous and the unmediated. Rarely do I compose preliminary sketches, for me drawing is almost an extension of my stream of thought.

I am inspired by estranging the mundane aspects of everyday life.

Judgement Day explores playfully and satirically the concept of ritual and performance that surround religion. Judgement Day provokes religious decorum and it’s ideologies of what it means to be Good. The human quest for objective truth is pressed upon in my collection of paper works. Why do we do, the things we do? Is it Altruism or Egoism?
