Exhibition runs from 6pm, 28 November - 3pm, 11 December 2014

And an astronomer said, Master, what of Time? And he answered: You would measure time the measureless and the immeasurable. You would adjust your conduct and even direct the course of your spirit according to hours and seasons. Of time you would make a stream upon whose bank you would sit and watch its flowing. Yet the timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness, and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream. (from the writings of Kahlil Gibran)

My current body of works is basically about my fascination with, 'Time.' This ephemeral state of transitory existence effects every living person's being and greatly regulates our lives. Time is to me really an abstract concept by which we live. We are aware of it, but at the same time we can hardly control it and most often we ignore it. We often reflect and are aware of its passing, but what is its essence?

In this exhibition I have given 'Time' a face. It watches us all 'Tick Tock,' every second of everyday the experience of living is passing. Where is time taking us next? What are we doing with the time given us? It is a countdown from birth and like everyone with us and before us, we take our turn. How do we contribute? What do we contribute? What of those who come next? Through this work, I strive to involve the viewer, attempting to challenge, confront and engage the imagination. Space, symbolism, vivid colour and dream-world compositions underpin the dynamic strength of these works, featuring human forms set in unusual compositions based on my love of surrealism the human figure and all things a bit quirky.
