Over the years, the drawing process has guided my hand and thoughts, challenging me to translate inner narratives to outer reality. My past practice turned to creating visual art using the immediacy of drawing marks directly onto paper. This recent body of work is comprised of drawings made after looking back in time as part of self-reflection, pondering life and the people we encounter. This started with a review of old photographs and snapshots from my past I had taken. People I knew decades ago are a recurring subject in these photographs that trigger memory and initiate investigations into past youth and human psyche.
