How and why to buy at Brunswick Street Gallery

Buying artwork is a wonderful thing—by doing so you're both supporting the arts, the artist and starting or contributing to your own collection. Choosing is hard and often the process can seem difficult. The team here at Brunswick Street Gallery is here to help you make your decision and guide you through collecting work.

 

We are happy to organise gift vouchers. Give a gift of art! Support emerging artists, and pass on support and love in the most sustainable and significant manner

 

Artists:

Brunswick Street Gallery hold bi-monthly exhibitions, containing both solo exhibits and group shows. We are not a representative gallery, per se, but continue to exhibit and encourage the involvement of past exhibiting artists. As such, if you remember seeing an artist here years ago—ask us, they'll be on our database! 

We work closely with artists in developing their solo shows and hold themed exhibitions annually that our curators develop. 

Our exhibiting artists are predominately emerging and mid-career artists and cross a variety of mediums and subjects.


Buying + Brunswick Street Gallery Pricing: 

Majority of exhibited work at Brunswick Street Gallery is for sale. When artwork isn't for sale, we are always happy to pass on artist information for further enquiry about purchasing the artists work.

The best way to buy work from a current exhibition is through the gallery—pop in and have a look and we can process the purchase here.

If not possible—always feel free to send and email or call us up and we can organise what suits you best.

The prices of the artworks vary. In our annual Small Prize and 40x40 shows, work can start at any opening bidding price, to $1000. Majority of the work throughout the year is below $1000, with occasional pieces reaching $5000.

On our website we have images of past exhibiting artists that viewers are able to look through. If you find something you like in the past exhibitors list—send us an email and we can get in touch with you about purchasing the work.


The process of buying: 

After choosing the work you'd like, come up to a member of the team at the desk, or send us an email, we'll take your details down. 

Then, we place a red dot on the work to officially mark its reservation to you! You can put down a 30% deposit, or pay in full. 

We'll send you a receipt of your purchase. One the exhibition is finished, we will wrap the work up and have it ready for your collection (within the two weeks, depending on the day you purchased the work.)

After this, you'll be on our mailing list and receive updates about all of the exciting projects at the gallery!
